The Ashe Arts Center's winter exhibit “Fibers, Anyone?” recognizes the innovative and extraordinary work being produced by the region's fiber artists.
The exhibit is open and runs through March 9. An opening reception is scheduled this evening from 5 to 7.
Artists are taking a creative approach to the fiber medium using both traditional and contemporary techniques, according to a press release from the Ashe Arts Council. The exhibit explores the fringes of fiber blending both craft and art.
\The exhibit will showcase the textile arts with felting, knitting, needle arts, dyeing, mixed media, quilting, wearable art, weaving, collage and more.
