West Jefferson hosts memorial for recent shooting victims

The world over has been impacted by the shooting of innocent children and adults in Newtown, Conn. Friday.
Locally, a memorial in honor of the victims at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., and their friends and family will be open to everyone in downtown West Jefferson. A brief ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. today on the street in front of West Jefferson Town Hall.
Individuals can place memorials, including candles or flowers, in front of the West Jefferson Town Hall between now and Tuesday evening.
