The Ashe County Sheriffs Office, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, investigated a suspected meth lab at an apartment complex on Nikanor Road in West Jefferson Tuesday evening.
At the scene, SBI and ACSO personnel wearing protective masks worked outside the apartment complex with the aid of halogen work lights.
ACSO Detective Jeremy Williams confirmed the investigation was ongoing, but released no details.
