ACSO arrests include felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretense

On Jan. 16, the Ashe County Sheriffs Office released details of arrests made between Jan. 3-11, 2013, according to ACSO Captain Carolyn Gentry. 


On Jan. 3, Marvin Ray Simcox, 25, of West Jefferson, was arrested by ACSO Detective David Upchurch and charged with obtaining property by false pretense. 


On Jan. 3, Thomas O’Brian Maxwell, 20, of West Jefferson, was arrested by ACSO Detective David Upchurch and charged with misdemeanor larceny. 


On Jan. 7, Curt Anthony Carpenter, 43, and Natasha Lynn Dunlap, 30, both of Madison, were arrested by ACSO Detective Dennis Anders and charged with felony larceny. 


On Jan. 8, Kimberly Dawn Stephens, 27, of West Jefferson, and Rickey Lee Ellison, 48, of Grassy Creek, were arrested by ACSO Detective Dennis Anders and charged with receiving stolen goods/property. 


On Jan. 9, Lindsey Alisha Miller, 19, of Meat Camp Road in Boone, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense. 


On Jan. 11, Gregory Dwayne Roten, 33, of Warrensville, was arrested and charged with simulating or uttering an official court process by ACSO Officer James Absher.


Additional bond and appearance information was not available at presstime.
