Drug possession, assaults among current crime report

On April 11, Randall Scott Combs, 41, of West Jefferson, was charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun, communicating threats, resisting public officer and misdemeanor larceny. Combs was later released on April 12.
On April 11, Kevin Dwight Hull, 39, of Hickory, was charged with breaking and entering by the ACSO. Hull was later released the same day.
On April 12, Johnny Edward Grubb, 45, of Todd, was charged with simple worthless check by the ACSO. Grubb remains in the Ashe County Detention Center on $505 cash bond.
On April 13, Cory Dean Rash, 21, of Crumpler, was charged with communicating threats by the ACSO. At press time, Rash remains in ACSO custody with an as yet to-be-determined bond.
On April 14, Christopher James Hicks, 26, of West Jefferson, was charged with first degree burglary and assault on a female by the ACSO. Hicks remains in ACSO custody on combined $110,000 secured bond.
On April 14, Amanda Lynn Marshall, 26, of West Jefferson, was charged with aid and abet first degree burglary by the ACSO. Marshall remains in ACSO custody on $10,000 secured bond.
On April 14, Sean Mark Stamper, 27, of Lansing, was charged with assault on a female by the ACSO. Stamper remains in ACSO custody.
