Fleetwood sex crimes case expands into Florida

The investigation and arrest of Aaron Banks Dixon, 28, of
Fleetwood, on multiple child sexual offense charges has expanded and now includes the arrest of a
Florida woman by federal agents in connection with Dixon’s case, according to the Ashe County
Sheriff's Office.
Dixon was arrested on March 11, by the Ashe County Sheriffs Office and charged with first and second degree sexual offense, and first degree rape of a child, according to ACSO Detective Captain Carolyn Gentry. Dixon was further charged on March 15, with an additional count of rape of a child, two charges of exploitation of a minor and another charge of first degree sexual offense of a child. Dixon remains in ACSO custody on a combined $1.1 million secured bond.
On March 20, Gentry said the Dixon investigation had expanded into Florida with the arrest of Sara Lippy Adleta, 28, of Oviedo, FL, who was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on three counts of child pornography. Adleta is currently held in the Seminole County Jail under no bond. Gentry also said two young children are involved in the case.
"As the (Dixon) investigation continued, the ACSO contacted the FBI to assist in the child pornography side of the case as it has crossed state lines," according to Gentry. "The Sheriff's Office investigation is ongoing."
