Mrs. Pauline J. Miller, 86, of Lansing, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Ashe County, to Marvin and Effie Miller Johnson. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Earl Miller; two daughters, Janice and Janie Miller; and brother, Robert Johnson.

Mrs. Miller loved to spend time with her family, working with flowers and taking pictures. She loved to write poems and give her testimony and used every opportunity to witness to people. She was a member of Sturgills Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Lloyd Day, the Rev. Fred Richardson, the Rev. Julian Owens and the Rev. Evan Roten. Burial followed in the Tucker Cemetery. The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Miller is survived by two sons, Minister Danny Miller and wife, Lois, and David Miller, all of Lansing; one daughter, Wanda Roten and husband, Eddie, of Lansing; also surviving are seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Flowers were appreciated, or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
