Mrs. Pauline Milam, 81, of Creston, NC, died on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. Mrs. Milam was born on November 10, 1930, in Ashe County, NC to the late Thomas and Emma Roark Latham. Mrs. Milam was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Milam, a daughter, Patsy Ann Richardson, and twelve brothers and sisters. She was the owner/operator of Milam's Store and retired in 2002. She enjoyed working in her flower garden.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Frankie Rash and the Rev. Ken Holmes. Burial will follow in the Milam Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Milam is survived by two sons, Joe Milam and wife, Patty, of Creston, NC, and Thomas Milam and wife, Vickie, of Fleetwood, NC; four daughters, Peggy Wyatt and husband, Gale, of West Jefferson, NC, Linda Howell of Creston, NC, Jackie Billings of Ronda, NC and Beth Milam of Creston, NC; eight grandchildren, Jody Milam, Stephanie Milam, Kevin Howell, Justin Billings, Kimberly Billings, Angie Eggers, Amy Miller, and Jamie Richardson; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremiah, Taylor, Silas, Luke, Kelsey, Allie, and Drew; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
