Mr. Samuel Mclester Trivette, 73, of Jefferson, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Mr. Trivette was born on May 6, 1939, in Maybeury, W.Va., to the late Garney Mclester Trivette and Rosie Belcher Trivette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verlis Helen Trivette, and a brother, Glenn Trivette. Mr. Trivette enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved animals and his current dog, "Little Bit".
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Steve Goss. Entombment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer.
The family received friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Trivette is survived by daughter, Gloria Rogers and husband, Bob, of Ohio; daughter, Betsy Kuser and husband, John, of Ohio; daughter, Bonita Thompson of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Rissie Salas of Jefferson; son, Sammy Trivette and wife, Leta, of Boone; son, Glenn Trivette and wife, Kathy, of Ohio; son, Jerry Greene of Ohio; sister, Helen Kelley of Jefferson; also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
